STOP Hotlinking! Please

Shame, but here’s my first ever web whinge! Most people who want to use our images do it properly and ask permission. But there is an increasing number of people, especially in BLOGs and forums, who are just hot linking to an image without seeking permission or giving credit. Of course their page looks great, sometimes beautifully apt, and they get a whole load of cred with their community, but the fact is such use is improper and it uses my (my host’s) bandwidth. I have revamped my Copyright Statement to make it plain - please do not hot link because I will find out and take action. All you have to do is ask me.
