Enjoy the Trip?

Twice this week in different settings I’ve heard photographers talking about how a photography trip was not so successful because “the light was no good” or “the weather was no good / too good”.

Now it may be just me, but the places involved looked fantastic and inspiring, and I think I’d have been in rapture just to be there.

My tip: don’t go there for the photography, wherever it is; go there for the experience, go there to see it and to feel it, and whatever photographs you get will be meaningful.
